Leviton Light Switch Not Working

No status light and it won t work the light.

Leviton light switch not working. I ve ensured the wires are in there firmly and have also been doing the side wire setup. I had the same problem. Most of my switches have the bx cable coming in.

The switch does not work reliably when set into the upper position it works reliably only in the lower position. Before i try any more switches in the house i really want to know what might be going wrong. Leviton switch stopped working.

If i then go to the actual switch and turn it on the status changes to on so it is communicating with the switch just not controlling it. Light would not turn on from motion but the sensor seemed to be working per the flashing green led. It happened last night and i didn t think much of it because it disconnects for a minute or two every now and then.

I actually returned the 1st unit and swapped it out for a second because i assumed it was a faulty unit. The lights are part of a 3 way switch where one side is a simple switch and the side i rewired was a dimmer. Posted by 2 years ago.

Thought i wired leviton 5224 correctly but looks like switch for fan is ok but the only time light switch works is when fan runs also so must keep light always on. I can get the dimmer switch installed to the point that the locator led will turn on and the leds representing the dimmer work but the lights they are supposed to control will no longer turn on from either side. When i switched the load and line i see the status light on the switch blinking but it will still not operate the light.

In the classic app a switch will show off. Leviton switch stopped working. You cannot turn the lights on manually lights work on 120v so no power to the unit this is definite give away if it is manually not responding 5.
